School: Rock Springs High School Record: Overall record of 123-40; 2nd as a sophomore, 3rd as a Junior, State Championships as a Senior Favorite thing about wrestling: My favorite thing about wrestling is the hard work, the lessons it teaches you, the opportunities it provides, and the family aspect throughout the sport. Favorite past wrestler/coach: It’s hard to choose just one but if I had to say Coach K, Mr. Brian Friel, Cameron Metcalf. Goals for wrestling/life career: My goal is to continue my wrestling career in college, pursue a degree in exercise science, and do my best to excel in all areas of my future. If you could teach a younger wrestler one thing, what would it be: If I could teach a young wrestler, really anything it would be to treat every opposing coach, opponent, and referee with the utmost respect and put in extra work no matter what. Work ethic is what separates the ordinary from the excellent, and always listen to your coaches because they’re like parents and they’re never going to lead you wrong. |
